@amyctserrat.bsky.social Linux isn't an operating system, which sounds like nitpicking but is an important distinction; most distributions won't care and probably put up a note on their download pages among "This OS can't be used in line with Californian laws without modification", similar to how distributions shipped codecs starting that those might not be legal without a license in the US due to software patents.
