My system does not throttle the CPU anymore when it gets hot.

To be able to compile Linux kernel (needed to have an unpatched kernel to be eligible to file an issue report) without emergency shutdown at ~95°C, I put the laptop in the fridge.

#hack #laptop #cooling

A simple cpu frequency throttling daemon in bash, "temp-throttle" (https://github.com/Sepero/temp-throttle), now seems to be a stable solution.

After I did not really understand how to configure #intel #thermald (https://github.com/intel/thermal_daemon) ...

#cpu #overheat #cpufreq #thermal #throttling #bash

@dreieck idk why, but this reminds me of https://xkcd.com/1172/ :D /lh

Glad you found a solution! /gen
