I'm still unsure about the new colors. They are so beautiful in themselves that they almost make me, as the painter, unnecessary.

First of all, humbleness is not at all unnecessary. By leaving room for the colors to unfold, not pressing your consciousness in, you allow magic.

Personally, I like to see an artist's admiration — not their possessions (colors). Your arts should be about how much you love the colors. Difficult, I know — but that's why we call it arts.

Secondly, I see figurines in both your paintings: sitting or kneeling position, head slightly bent down.
Now that IS magic. Beautiful.

When you study art, you are exposed to many concepts, ideas, and doubts. Which is important, of course, because it's always about classifying and rethinking systems and perspectives on the world.
But then thoughts arise such as: oh, that's actually just craftsmanship, not art. Or: that's too pleasing, it's design, not art.
Your words allow me to see another perspective. Something that I want to be contained in all my paintings: letting things take their course. Letting them flow and only intervening gently. Interacting with what emerges and not knowing what will come of it.
Well. And then another doubt creeps in: wait a minute, suddenly it's all about your own inner feelings and work... isn't that the pinnacle of the idea of “the artist as genius”? (Which I definitely am not.)
You see, it's a never-ending story.

That's why I like your statement so much: it should be about your love of color. Yes! I love color!! And that is sensing. Not thinking. I'll stop now (probably very briefly).

Our classical Western style education system focuses on tools and knowledge. As per definition, it excludes emotions. (If you're lucky, a teacher may compensate with their personality.)

Tools and knowledge are craftsmanship. Important prerequisite, but not the core.

For me, arts is an emotional thing — I don't want to see clever compositions. I want to feel something. Preferably something positive.
Love (for color) is a wonderful feeling!
