To the best of my knowledge there is no such option. Everything seems to be gender neutral. Even all the pronouns are 'they' (except in the autophage lore they refer to a certain entity as 'she'). Personally, I prefer first person mode for on-foot and spaceship travel, but third person for exocraft. Your mileage, of course, may vary. (I agree about the hips, though).
