Kobold Curry Chef

For the first time, I am playing a HASL campaign for #AdvancedSquadLeader. This is Hatten In Flames CGII, the short one. In this photo, the setup is almost but not quite done.

I played through the first game turn this afternoon. As usual, I am taking my time.

This scenario is decidedly larger than I am used to, but it's good to expand my horizons sometimes.

Finished the first day and part of the Refit Phase after. I spent all week obsessing about the battle. The Refit Phase, I found it to be overly fiddly, and not really fun. Drawing the perimeters? Ugh. The rulebook desperately needed multiple illustrated examples. I gave it my best shot. #AdvancedSquadLeader

I did not realize, when I was doing the Refit Phase, that I was coming down with some sort of respiratory illness. It did seem odd that playing #AdvancedSquadLeader was wiping me out physically that much. My reaction to the Refit Phase rules might very well be colored by my building illness. We'll see once I finish the next day in the CG. (Gotta do taxes first, and get better.)

@koboldcurrychef Hatton is a good one. I have played a number of the scenarios, but haven't tried the campaigns yet.
