Starting to wonder how many people realise how disruptive GenAI could be to the entire tech industry. We’re seeing the odd news piece here and there. Shortages. Cancellations of niche fare. Price rises. But these are gradually growing – expanding out. The long-term ramifications are not great.

@craiggrannell thing is, RAM shortages are solvable in time; you can make more semiconductors and dedicate production lines to consumer end-use equipment. If the US government wasn’t a total shitshow, this would be a fine place for them to provide incentives and useful trade policy.
