Maersk (see LB) is rescheduling and rerouting ships, suspending using Suez, but going via Cape of Good Hope. Which takes longer and is more dangerous—sailing conditions & pirates. Probably more shipping companies will follow

#Gedankenexperiment: Could one game the stock market by hiring pirates to simply sink chip-carrying ships? Like, significantly? I guess just making a container ship sink is cheaper than holding it hostage?
