Gotta give it to him — Trump didn’t waste our time and draw our allies into this with a complex web of lies and public speeches the way Bush did. I suppose if you’re gonna lie about WMD to start shit in the middle east, you might as well be efficient about it.

Dubbya was I think, even after Slick Willy's public performance and, I feel, with indepth knowledge of any of Bill's possible Epstein child abuse type activities, still worried about being ashamed. And so went to all the trouble of building, with the support of spineless yes-men, a large lie.

Trump however appears utterly shameless.
(Though his cousin Mary AIUI holds that this whole disaster is because Trump is always pushing away his immense shame.)

To me the bummer is that Congress, such as it is, is always playing catch up. Even though DT tends to broadcast his audacious intentions. I guess they haven't yet grasped that when DT is given an inch he takes a mile, every time.
