John@shadowwwind @dansup I guess the idea is that it won't be an alienating, toxic, addicting, and harmful content platform like every other endless scroll short form platforms because it's mostly lefty content on fediverse.

@shadowwwind @silent_john anything can be addicting, but assuming that short video is addictive itself doesn't make sense when there are endless feeds of content in other mediums.

Same; tik-tok in its core is addictive algorithm + poor moderation.

Well i am an adult. And I believe the design pattern that hurts me is the *swipe up to autoplay a random video on an endless feed*.
And the casino comparison comes from studies that found similar brain activity from the pattern I described above and slot machines.

@afreytes yes, that's kinda my point. I don't see a real place for Loops.
