⚠️ Update: Metrics show #Iran has been offline for 12 hours after the regime imposed a nationwide internet blackout amid US and Israeli military strikes.

While most countries work to stay connected in times of international conflict, Iran has again silenced its own population.

@netblocks
Why do you assume that #Iran is responsible for turning off the #internet connections, especially since they are being attacked by other nations? Would those attacking not rather enjoy an advantage with a fog of #war?
@Earl @netblocks it's not only internet is blocked, also satellite tv is jammed since last night to prevent #iranintl and #manoto to be received. Of course those attacking would want iranians to have access to farsi language stations from abroad opposing the mullah regime.

@netblocks aljazeera block out in the united states so we don't see that we knowingly bombed a school 60+ kids killed.

"Iran is once again blocking internet access btw." Clown

@netblocks Given that the Internet is mostly a pipeline of US propaganda, turning it off when the US is attacking is not unreasonable.
@netblocks if the islamic regime had any slightest bit of legitimacy they wouldn't have to commit mass repressions and shut down the internet countrywide
