Charlotte Aten@the5thColumnist @wikipedia There aren't many academic incentives for maintaining Wikipedia when you could be writing and publishing expository papers or books instead. I still did it anyway, but now with the scraping deal and the LLM spam in articles, I'm over it.
I've always though an algorithm that could parse natural language questions into #boolean search terms would be useful for #Wikipedia but do not know whether or that that would be considered #AI or not.
Duco@the5thColumnist @caten @wikipedia the German Wikipedia banned nearly all AI. It is not allowed to be used to write articles and stuff. You can use AI for research, but you have to check all claims and can't use AI as source.
