I think we've tried taking the "high ground" for too long. I am all for laughing & mocking at those in power who prove themselves, repeatedly, to be incompetent- I mean it worked for Liz Truss.

why do you say that? in my experience the personal is very much connected to the collective, & vice versa.
i would say it's absolutely essential to discuss the psychological dynamic political parties & actors are using to keep the system rolling to their benefit.
understanding why people behave the way they do is essential to develop effective tactics to counter rising fascism.

The Greens may have won here, but they simply do not have the resources, the activist base or the local knowledge to replicate this victory across the country

Good Lord. Starmer's really fixated on George Galloway here, isn't he? As if he is some kind of Mancunian kingmaker (he was only parachuted in as Rochdale's MP For A Day because Starmer's team made such a shitshow of the by-election).
I can't work out whether Galloway's just Starmer's particular bete noir; code for "People who don't like our support of the razing of Gaza;" or a proxy for Jeremy Corbyn, who also told his supporters to vote Green but an attack on whom might not play very well with the troops at the moment and would just amplify the disunity Starmer's imposed on Labour's core constituency.

Referring to Hannah Spencer as "a representative who is more interested in dividing people than uniting them" is an impressively huge LIE, even from Starmer.
Starmer is a disgrace to his office.
Certainly possible, but I think he is just working for some very rich people, who will reward him later, much like Blair, who suddenly had lots of money after he was PM.

Throw tony 'grifter' blair out of the labour party, (now some of the blairite supporters have been forced to resign in disgrace over their 'in the shadows' manipulation of the PLP), and that will see the final collapse of the blairite house of cards, and ultimately, the demise of starmer.
The problem then is that they've already purged labour of the left. Leaving them as a new tory party in waiting.

I'm also not convinced the blairite fifth column has been fully removed despite a few resignations.
Labour has a massive task on it's hands just to clean up it's act, *and* convince the people they are the home of socialism once more....before the next election.
@Geri The 'Starmer Project' can't exist without him, so his backers will do everything possible to keep him in place....including pretending 'nothing to see here', and just keep ploughing on with their aim to become the new tory party.
