Rejecting and criticising (for example) the Taliban making it LEGAL for a man to use physical violence against a woman he is married to neither makes you a racist nor an islamophobe.
Additionally, there are many religions and sects that promote the use of physical violence by parents against children, often causing lifelong mental health problems for the child.
This should NOT be tolerated in the name of "religious freedom."
It's always right to #PunchANazi, and making harmful religious practices (such as Female Genital Mutilation) ILLEGAL in a secular nation is the correct thing to do.
A society should be judged not by its stock markets, but by its treatment of the less fortunate, and its efforts to eradicate structures that give advantage to some while disadvantaging others.
