@JeniParsons Are you familiar with this group? Just found them.
@sparrowsion @JeniParsons they're not rural folk in the hunts. They're wannabe aristocrats from the city.
Opinion: If your Idea of fun is hunting and killing ANYTHING, you're a fucking sicko!
Coyote hunters same here. Its a constant war. Arrogant asses.
Yup. I live in a high population area that was shotgun only hunting up until about 20 years ago when the sport hunter lobby got rifles approved for just about everywhere. Now my roads are full of Rambo's with semi autos during hunting season. Bullets flying everywhere. We've had to put up heavy locked gates on all the drives in because they have no respect for signs and drive their trucks over wire. Its like being in a war zone. Just hate it. I use to hunt, grew up in the north where deer, ducks, and grouse were part of a families food supply. But something has to be done to limit this reckless macho sport hunting.
@JeniParsons I've used tactically placed livestock guardian dogs to scare off hunters and their hounds before.
Just sayin'...
@JeniParsons I'd recommend getting Maremmas over Pyrenean Mountain Dogs btw. Great for defending your herd and they eat about half as much food as an adult.
They also terrify hunters, which is nice.
@JeniParsons
By the way, I don't want to give you the impression livestock guardian dogs are some awful attack dogs, quite the opposite. They're lovely defensive dogs. And once you're no longer a "wolf" you're a "sheep" and basically family.

Attached: 2 images @[email protected] Haha! No, but we had a Maremma and she was great. She got on with all the animals...
@JeniParsons They can be socialised, but you have to slightly theatrically shake hands with a wolf for them to cotton on that they're now sheep.
And they never bother the likes of the postman either. It's the out of the ordinary stuff they look out for.
