👾#NixOS out-of-tree #kernel module for #Apple #CirrusLogic #CS8409 #codec + #TAS5764L amp. The mainline #driver only supports Dell. The file below packages davidjo/snd_hda_macbookpro as a #Nix #derivation. Now the #sound on my old #imac running #linux #nixos seem to work. It did not work before. Johannes Bornhold@adingbatponder not for so recent models. I've recently put a #NixOS onto a 2011 imac with these large displays. It became a decent machine again.
