@arstechnica Hyperion was fascinating, I wish Dan Simmons hadn't turned out to be such an asshole.

@distractal @arstechnica I went into Hyperion blind too and really loved it.

I then read some of Simmons's post 9/11 writing and it was so viciously anti-Muslim...I just felt so hurt and betrayed.

@taylorswiftboat @distractal @arstechnica he was clearly no fan of religion. The Catholics are portrayed far worse.
