CharlotteI'm interviewing job candidates at work today. I hate doing interviews, because they force me to be judgmental and mean (and not in the consensual fun way). I try to make it as nice as possible for the candidates, put them at ease, but the contextual stress is obviously always there for them. It makes me feel bad - because I'm a softy - but that's who I am and I'll never change it 🙂
abby 🐝@Foritus I avoid interviewing people because I refuse to have that amount of power over someone (if I say no I could be putting them in an unfortunate financial situation)
@olivvybee yeah exactly, that kind of stuff weighs over my mind a lot :( especially as I have friends and loved ones who are in that situation. I can't really say no though, I'm way too senior at work, so it feels awful.
