one of my favorite things on fedi is seeing an enormous infodump that is almost totally incomprehensible to me, where someone is just pouring out their heart about a topic that they love, in some gigantic thread of intense nerdery. sometimes I see people post self-consciously as if they feel like they shouldn't be filling up people's timelines with their special interest but I just want to say as a blanket statement, go for it. even if I can't quite understand the facts, the energy is sublime

@glyph Shame should be rooted out of society like it's a disease, too many people go silent about their passions when we should be dancing and celebrating our immense capacity for understanding & creativity

@ctwebb @glyph I get your sentiment, but _some folx_ don't feel enough shame, if you know what I mean. It's an important informative biological response for social harmony. But us supporting each other's passions - that we can do, today :)
