So, doing some research into the PC-FX.

The poor bastard didn't stand a chance, did they?
Winter 1994 was a crazy time for console releases, with the Playstation 1, Sega Saturn and even the Atari Jaguar edged out slightly earlier Japanese release dates than the PC-FX.

Lacking a 3D polygon chip as well possibly contributed to the commercial failure, even if 3D at the time was looking rough, it was still an exciting advance in gaming technology that would have caught consumer attention.

There is obviously much more going on, delays, developer support, costs, etc. But the competition landscape was definitely something that immediately caught my attention.

So, yeah, as I prepare for my write up of Team Innocent, I think a deep dive into the PC-FX is warranted. Even if all it does is just inflate my word count.
