“Should any transgender person be caught driving without a valid license, they could face a class B misdemeanor carrying up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. Kansas already requires county jails to house inmates according to sex assigned at birth. The letter, obtained by Erin in the Morning, marks one of the most significant erosions of transgender civil rights in the United States to date.”

@tusk81 spontaneous, possibly naive(?) idea, how bout we get some caravans going, pick these human beings up & bring them to a sanctuary state? It's too expensive to move for a lot of people but maybe that would help?

Not a guarantee of safety, its pretty fukin expensive where I live & we have the federal government doing what it's doing. I am not capable of providing a room & meals but if it helped I would road trip somewhere for that purpose

Vulnerable people absolutely need to get out of red states and into unequivocally blue states. The federal government has limited ability to persecute individual citizens, but hateful states do not, especially when the federal goverment will not intervene to protect them.

Best time to do it was when Trump won the election. Second best time is now, when people still have time to pack things up, sell property they can't move, and maybe even pre-arrange a job at the new location if possible. Fleeing in the dead of night when cops are rounding people up is going to be much more dangerous and requires leaving pretty much everything behind.

And FFS do not flee to another country unless it's literally the only way to get out of an actively dangerous state. They'll send Americans back to blue states under internal flight alternatives policies.
