“Should any transgender person be caught driving without a valid license, they could face a class B misdemeanor carrying up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. Kansas already requires county jails to house inmates according to sex assigned at birth. The letter, obtained by Erin in the Morning, marks one of the most significant erosions of transgender civil rights in the United States to date.”

@tusk81 It's so much easier to demonize us than the owners of the boots they're so accustomed to tongue-shining. Any and every problem in their lives are a product of their undying devotion to billionaires and the Cheato. 😔
@tusk81
WTF? How is that any of the Gov's business?
@tusk81 that...isn't the bad part. The bad part is....they have a list of these people. And what has history consistently shown us about lists of minorities?
@tusk81 move to California. We are nice people not dumf#$&s…
@tusk81 This is simply appalling.
@tusk81 what is wrong with these people?

@tusk81 spontaneous, possibly naive(?) idea, how bout we get some caravans going, pick these human beings up & bring them to a sanctuary state? It's too expensive to move for a lot of people but maybe that would help?

Not a guarantee of safety, its pretty fukin expensive where I live & we have the federal government doing what it's doing. I am not capable of providing a room & meals but if it helped I would road trip somewhere for that purpose

@ctwebb @tusk81
Vulnerable people absolutely need to get out of red states and into unequivocally blue states. The federal government has limited ability to persecute individual citizens, but hateful states do not, especially when the federal goverment will not intervene to protect them.

Best time to do it was when Trump won the election. Second best time is now, when people still have time to pack things up, sell property they can't move, and maybe even pre-arrange a job at the new location if possible. Fleeing in the dead of night when cops are rounding people up is going to be much more dangerous and requires leaving pretty much everything behind.

And FFS do not flee to another country unless it's literally the only way to get out of an actively dangerous state. They'll send Americans back to blue states under internal flight alternatives policies.

@tusk81

By refusing to stand for human rights, the democratic party is either forcing people to not use human rights as a bright line that must be defended
~or~
forcing people to not support the democratic party.

I understand it is the best national party we have. But it is *actively* forcing voters to disregard human rights violations.

It can't go on like this.

@tusk81 What happens when they get a letter back with an image showing a trans person driving their pickup truck with a loaded shotgun in the gun rack?
@tusk81 when the idiots and fascist take control. This is the complete opposite of of making anything great

@tusk81

What in the hell is happening to the United States?

@tusk81

"Whatever happened to Kansas?"

Another red blob on Erin's map. Very, very, very pathetic and depressing. Wonder how long it will tale to roll back those kinds of small-minded and hateful (and not supported by the majority of citizens) laws.

@tusk81 Will they be required to sew little pink triangles onto their clothes next? Yes.
@tusk81 Sherman had the right idea, and Kansas is flammable.
