@datarama I suspect that the current horridness is not just a side effect of AI, but in fact that the AI boom such as it is could not even have occurred without the culture of "screw the end user/developer/customer" that is kind of a thing right now.

I'm too uninspired to state this well, but you know what I mean. I love making computers do what I want, but that's being taken from me too. These days I'd settle for hugs and beer but I still want to love creating.

@datarama Whenever I examine it, I come back to parallels with the music industry, and how they turned something everyone loves into a distasteful mass produced product that is widely consumed by a small but profitable majority who does not actually care one way or the other about music but does generate revenue. :/ #shrug
