🎧 AirPods Pros are so convenient so I often default to them but today I'm rocking my Alessandro Music Series One by Grado Labs.

@nfd The zero latency and never run out of battery thing are big pluses as well.
@jaye I do think it's time to replace my foam pads though... ☹️
@nfd My trusty MDR-7509s have gone through a few pads and cables, and are still kicking.
@nfd I'm sooooo curious to try on some Grados one day 🥺

@nileane Importing might be more pricy now 🙃 but they have quite a reasonable starting price domestically.

I recall this specific 'Alessandro Music Series One' model was said to be hitting above it's "entry-level price" ($109 USD back in 2021) with similar sound quality to the ~$200 Grado.

When Apple released the $549 AirPods Max at the end of 2020 I had to fight the immediate urge to pre-order a set because I'm a bit of an Apple and music enthusiast, it seemed like Apple was positioned to mainstream Hi-Fi headphones the same way the iPod mainstreamed MP3 players.

@nfd Thanks!

I think I might just get some classic SR80x Grados one day, they're pretty easy to find still it seems

@nileane Awesome! Yeah the braided cable and headband are better quality than the entry level models —my biggest complaint with mine so I've been tempted to mod/upgrade the cable.
