@gruber @mwichary I rarely if ever use cut and always use copy.

copy -> paste -> delete

seems much safer as you’re guaranteed to have at least 1 copy of the data available.

I’m sure I’ve done a cut, realized I need something else too (or I got distracted/interupted) and then overwrote my cut and lost the data. (Yes I know there are 3rd party clipboards that offer more history but I’ve just gotten used to a simple yet effective approach)
