Rail Roster is a model railroad collection manager and is now available in TestFlight beta.

It tracks locomotives, rolling stock, and full consists with DCC/sound/light installs, maintenance history, MSRP, photos, NMRA weight compliance, and collection stats.

Everything syncs with iCloud across devices.

Feedback from fellow model railroaders is welcome as it continues to evolve.

@roboticsnailsoftware I installed it and here are some first suggestions from a European perspective:
• support metric units, ideally get this from the system settings
• support standard NEM epochs for rolling stock
• support specifying the country for rolling stock
• support specifying 2 or 3 rails for H0 rolling stock
• support specifying if rolling stock has NEM 362 coupler pockets.
@roboticsnailsoftware also rolling stock manufacturers is ambiguous, is this the manufacturer of the rolling stock (EMD, Stadler) or from the model (Hornby, Märklin).
@thias this is exactly the type of feedback I am looking for! Thank you and keep an eye out for some changes.
@roboticsnailsoftware you also might want to have a look at the Märklin catalogs, they use a set of icon to describe features for rolling stock: close couplers, smoke generator, metal body, cab lighting, coupler controls.
@thias Just pushed an update with a bunch of changes based on your feedback. Still have more work to do on some others.
@roboticsnailsoftware the rolling stock save buttons are hardly visible on a iPhone11 Pro.
@thias This is interesting. It seems to be an issue only with devices with the notch and when the keyboard is showing. I am able to reproduce it in the simulator so I will look into a fix.
@roboticsnailsoftware the train menu should IMHO be renamed “rolling stock” and contain the following: locomotives, freight wagons, passenger carriages, railcar, utility and caboose.
