I welcome Trump voters changing, but I am getting really tired of hearing, "I didn't vote for this."
@augieray I'm not tired of hearing that at all. They're idiots, but there's an election coming up.
@JoelBarr @augieray are we sure there will be a fair election?
@hiphopheaven
If there won't, are Americans doing anything required for change?
@hiphopheaven @augieray no, I'm anticipating some trouble.
@JoelBarr
Everyone is expecting change from these people now that elections are coming up. Will that change the damages caused by Trump and his administration?
@nuwagaba2 no, and things will not go back to the way they were, but if we do manage to have a fair election, we can get the people's voice back in the equation.
@JoelBarr
What if a wrong choice is made again?
@augieray yes. Yes you did. You were more concerned about being pigs to liberals than listening to the ugly boar screaming at you, because you believed being a boar was okay. You deserve what you get.

@augieray

The people who voted for #FaceEatingLeopards say they didn't vote for leopards to eat their face?

@augieray Especially since they did vote for this.
The sign should read "jump off this cliff to piss off the libs"

@augieray Think is, they wanted to piss off liberals. And what Trump is doing is pissing off liberals.

So they totally voted for it, and did so deliberately and knowingly.

What they didn't realise is that the liberals are right, and they also want so many of the things that the liberals want.

@SteveClough @augieray

Rage is the goal to control the not-so-bright folks. It is a tried and true method. "blinded by rage", is a fact, it's not a saying today.

@augieray
Anyone remember WordStar?

^QA Trump [tab] Brexit [Enter]

@augieray America would have the same policies no matter who got in. Politicians serve their donors, that's not the American people, it's corporations, special interest groups and the rich, it's a democracy for them not you and theirs is the only "vote" that matters which has any real bearing on government policy

Americans are so focused on the fake left vs. right divide, they fail to notice who is pulling the strings, or why no party delivers for the people or why things get worse year on year

@Rastal
It seems that most people in America and in the world at large are too blinded to see the reality. What can open their eyes?
@Rastal This is the dumbest response of the week. Same policies? If Harris had been elected, we'd have saner trade policies, ICE would not be policing our street and shooting Americans in the head, we wouldn't have cut taxes on billionaires again, we wouldn't be threatening Greenland and our allies, and thousands of federal workers would still be employed. I hate the whole "left and right are the same BS."
@augieray @Rastal
Yes and no. Clearly, one party is far worse than the other, but fundamentally both are neoliberal, both are failing to address the real structural problems in America (and to some extent globally).
The power of the ultra-rich (both individuals and corporations) is destroying democracy and wrecking the environment too.

@KimSJ @augieray @Rastal

We get what we (don’t) vote for. The Democratic Party pulled right bc that’s what works on a national level, between the Electoral college, voter suppression, and people who vote based on the price of eggs. Left voters don’t show up on a regular basis. Most have no patience for the incremental slow change of govt. Biden’s environmental policies were real progress. Now the EPA is dead. It matters.

@lucybeahere
I think you seriously underestimate the power of dark money to alter voter behaviour.

@KimSJ

Not at all. But I’m not willing to give up and say it’s hopeless. There is no easy way out.

@KimSJ

This is the root of the problems, the focus on obtaining money, power, and privileges. It happens on all political 'sides', all over the world. I don't know what is needed to change it, but I do what I can, am very tired, and sometimes fear only a global atrocity will finally put an end to this. Human nature though is not likely to change and the hunger for above goals are so strong that they should be controlled via proper global laws and full transparency.

@augieray @Rastal

@augieray Yes. Listen to AOC in Munich. Then listen to Rubio in Munich. They are saying exactly the same thing. All they do, all they ever do, is spin the narrative differently to their audience, but then do the same. Continuity of agenda.

As for ICE, more migrants were deported under Obama than Trump. Trump's audience responds better to theatre so that's what is provided, Obama's audience wanted this muted so it was. But it's the same thing happening regardless, irrespective of the framing.

@augieray I like to remind them that they did vote for this and now they get to sleep in the bed they chanted for that's filled with disease, decay, and discrimination, and to snuggle with a blanket of measles.

@augieray Plus "I didn't vote for this" by no means indicates they won't vote for him again or continue to support the rest of his cruel white kkkristian nationalist agenda

It's a cult. Almost none of them are leaving, even if they don't like one specific thing he's doing
