my roommate's new Microsoft Surface Hub is running a wacky version of Windows 10 that popped up a "You need to download something from the store to support this file!" message when I tried to run a win64 exe.

HOW DO YOU MAKE A WINDOWS THAT DOESN'T SUPPORT RUNNING EXES?

@foone I'll always wonder how Microsoft managed to design the Hub knowing they'd want to buy lots for internal use and yet it doesn't have a smart card reader.

@backerman surely they just built a USB smartcard reader? I saw they had a fingerprint reader add-on, surely smartcard would be possible

@foone It's a standard issue item, but why not include one? The extra COGS is only a buck or two and it's a weird omission on a five-figure device.
