GG; really was excited for the ladybird browser, but now it relies heavily on AI to rewrite its code from C++ to Rust. They even rewrote their entire JS stack just using AI into rust, using "only" hundrets of prompts to get Claude to do the porting for them.

Can this AI slop bubble please burst already?

@specificprotagonist Wow, didn't knew that. While I knew the maintainer of SerenityOS was a a weird jerk, I didn't new he was very close with facists (aka being one himself).

So two projects down the drain...

@mai_lapyst @specificprotagonist I didn't know until today either! I knew he got "weird" in recent years, but I didn't think he was full on fascist?!

Honestly, it feels like a death of someone I previously looked up to since the SerenityOS days. I loved the old OS hacking videos as he seemed so chill and welcoming at the time. I guess you never know whats really behind the mask until their true colors begin to show.

Sucks to see so much "cool stuff" turn out like this these days...

@mai_lapyst I keep my pitchfork down for now. Looks like one of those rare cases where they didn't just willy-nilly wrote prompts and took the results for granted.
