📢 New blog article

This article explores several complementary definitions of #SmallTech and #HumanTech (frugal, sovereign and open), their pros and cons when implemented individually, and proposes a sustainable approach at the intersection of them.

It advocates for more direct connections between users and developers, for tools with a specific purpose rather than big platforms with ever-increasing scopes, for localized rather than one-size-fits-all global solutions, and for a “local pub” approach opposed to the McDonald’s approach.

@fabio Sounds like the old Unix way of doing things. Small programs that did one thing well and the ability to pipe the out put to another program that also did one thing well, al infinitem.
@jaypeach53 the UNIX philosophy also got a honorable mention on the article as a corollary of frugal engineering 🙂
