For anyone thatβs worried Charlie is angry, he just kinda has resting angry face at some angles. Heβs been wearing the collar for months and doesnβt mind it. He even uses it as a sleep aid sometimes (either as a pillow or to block light).
Weβre still trying different options with the vet, but so far this has been the most reliable way to prevent him from licking a hole in his tummy.
If nothing else, the top right image demonstrates how it will keep the heat in while he's sleeping. 3:O)>

@juliepagano What do you mean, "looks like"?
I, for one, welcome out new floral-feline overlord.
Very stylish; the neck ruff suits you, sir.
Looks like a peyote costume!
@nosrednayduj He grooms to the point of injury, so we have to take steps to prevent it, so he doesn't seriously hurt himself.
He tolerated the inflatable ones we tried, but kept putting holes in them so they deflated. We tried a recovery suit for a while, but then had a terrible situation where the butt flap got misaligned.
These are fabric with filling in them (sorta like a stuffed animal). We stack two of them (one medium and one large -- he's a big cat) to make it less flexible because he was occasionally able to work around just one of them. He tolerates these best out of everything we've tried, and he can generally enjoy his normal cat life with them. We try to give him a couple breaks every day where he gets supervised, no-collar grooming time.
It's not from a brand I particularly trust, which I don't love, but itβs the only thing we could find that worked well for him. Here's a chewy link.
