Update for the #BikeNite crowd

Last night, our town celebrated lunar new year with our annual “festival of light” parade. This year is the year of the fire horse, so volunteers made two giant horse floats that were carried through the streets.

Some folks decorated their bikes, some people carried lanterns. We have a great community!

@cainmark It is!!! This was the 5th year of the festival for our town.

The first year there were maybe 50 people walking on the sidewalk with flashlights. Paper lanterns came along the following year, with about 200 people. Then the crowds got so big that we paraded in the street.

It’s great to look forward to it when the days are short and the skies are always gray.
