#the100dayproject Okay, as usual I'm late to the party, but I'm intrigued and in urgent need of structure to get anything done (and some important things to get off the ground), so I'm in!

https://www.the100dayproject.org/about

TIL it exists at all, so first things first...

Step 1: Nope. πŸ˜„ Thank you, hardly use email these days and can't cope with any more reading right now.

Step 2: Nope, but someone started an alternative Fedi Community, yayy!

Step 3: Now, the difficult part. πŸ€ͺ

Step 4: Will do!

Okay, Step 3... πŸ€” thanks to @Kitty, who suggested more than artsy projects, there are 5 possibilities...

1. Help organise PrΓΌf Demos. Something I'll probably keep at anyway.
2. Do my exercises. I would profit a lot, if I got into a nice & fun routine.
3. Proceed with my countless crocheting projects.
4. Draw. As I couldn't participate in that course in Dec.
5. Start #theArtistsWay. It's 84 days, so I could have 16 days off! This could also encompass 1.-4, so I wouldn't have to decide. 😎

Okay, the 5-10 minute rule is... pretty tough. But also great to make sure I stick at it through difficult days.

It would work for exercises and for The Artist's Way, because even though my daily tasks there take longer, anything would be better than nothing.
Also, I could put any "overtime" into the 16 rest days.

I think the orga stuff is out, because there the value would be to take a day off. I feel I won't need extra motivation to do stuff there.

For drawing I feel the biggest block right now, or the least pull factor.
Also, I need to sit (stand still) for that.

The Artist's Way is more flexible, I can lie down or chose a moving activity, depending on how I feel.

Crocheting feels like a great thing, something I've missed doing. Have seldomly done it for just 5 minutes though. And for some projects it would be quite a lot of material to carry.

I should really do the exercise as a project. Or just walking. πŸ’β˜οΈ
Uuh! Or breathing routine!

uuuh... or JUST the morning pages from The Artist's Way, to get into that again for starters. Already more than 10 minutes. πŸ˜…

I will procrastinate on these options until tonight.

Ohno, another idea: learn new receipes/cook and bake old favourites. Waaay longer than 10 minutes. Oh, oh: learn 100 5 minute receipes!!

Oooor... it's coming up to spring: 5 minutes of gardening every day, to get back into it, come rain or shine.

Please, mind, stawp! πŸ™ˆπŸ˜

Soo nice, to see all these possibilities 🌈

1/2 Ok, today I've been walking (just chores/appointments) and spontaneously decided: My 100dayproject will be:

5-10 minutes every day to beautify any corner in my house or garden

Which could be.. decluttering, tidying, decorating, working on any of my varied renovation projects, building something, learning a new skill, researching something, planting a flower, watering, painting, putting a chair into a sunny spot... you get the picture.

Just one hesitation: I know already that...

2/2

... I will be away for a week in March and 3 weeks in April and probably also for weekends and such in May and June.

How will I complete my home-project from not-at-home? πŸ€”

There will be some research things, some skill-honing and maybe some sketches, orders, phone calls or planning every now and then, but... will I find it motivating, if there's too many consecutive days like that? Hmm, hmm..

IF I chose this, my day one will be planting primulas. 😁

okayy, after I had 6 more ideas* πŸ™ˆ I have now decided what to do for my #the100dayproject! πŸ™Œ

I was inspired by this awesome piece:

😍😍😍

So, starting today, I will go on 10 minute walks and make impromptu temporary art from things I find outside - leaves, rubbish, petals, lost things, rocks...

Every day for a hundred days.

When I can't get outside due to health, time or weather, I will use things I find around my room.

I will take pics and post: #myfleetingwaywardart

* 1- journalling about my day: "what is important today" in the morning "how it went" in evening
2- setting up a lasting garden bullet journal where "times to do things by" and "how to do them" get collected
3- urgently, as our cooker broke, design and build the kitchen counter and learn some joinery along the way πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ
4- establish a morning routine involving either walking, yoga, swimming or back exercises
5- get in touch with old friends by letter or phone or online
6- sing loudly and falsely
