But, but tradition!

Leave Westminster to the tourists and build a new modern parliament building, preferably not in that London.

We conduct affairs of state in a building that’s riddled with asbestos and mice. Can’t Britain do any better?

Parliament is steeped in history, but too many parts of the estate are dangerous and squalid. The promised upgrade can’t come a minute too soon, says Labour MP Rupa Huq

@wood5y my personal preference would be for England's parliament to be based in Hull. Seems a nice place and one of my university mates came from there so it has bright people and as a port city it can cope with all sorts.
The replacement UK parliament is harder to locate but perhaps Manchester, if it has to be in England, or Liverpool as they get Welsh Water by drowning villages, so perhaps they could remember that.
If they want to make a political point then Morpeth or Truro instead of Hull.
@epistatacadam As our political masters deem nuclear power safe and 'green', let them debate at #Sellafield.

@epistatacadam
I agree, Hull is very nice and sadly under-appreciated and would be a good place for a legislature for England. But a "UK" parliament is really not needed, as the union of unequals will soon be over.

@wood5y

@LillyHerself @wood5y on that my hopes coincide with your statement. But Wales needs it's own judiciary back, only removed in Victorian times. Then we need the case for giving us the money stolen as E&W projects, plus the interest.......

@epistatacadam ... all part of the divorce proceedings.
