Come on #LinuxMobile people, we're very close to the 10k mark for the new #SailfishOS #Jolla2 phone. Reaching that, @jolla will open source "The Other Half", the amazing changeable backplate with hardware accessories the #Jolla1 already had.

@nobodyinperson @jolla for your information: The Other Half happens anyway no matter if they reach 10k or not, since they finally got real working phone samples and they confirmed that it's gonna happen

@nobodyinperson @jolla TOH was announced when 9.000 preorders were reached. But still, 10.000 preorders would mean more new users to this awesome platform and most likely also more devs 😊

Hi there, Time for a Jolla Phone update. And it is booting up! As of late last week we got very first functional samples (we call it “CNC sample”) completed with the real mechanics, electronics, the SoC, modem, user-replaceable battery and everything together. Very quickly from there we organised a two-day hackday in Tampere to pull it together, and happy to note that as a result we got it now booting up to the beautiful Sailfish UI! Wow! Technica...
