yeah, this is really good. the handling is great, the tracks are great, the AI is challenging even on Novice difficulty. top stuff!
well after winning the 4 championships on Novice difficulty and stepping up to Veteran, this is where the real game begins it seems
slipstreaming is now a thing, you have to be a lot more precise with your lines, and mistakes are punished much more severely! also pit stop strategy? whaa? on Novice I was pitting to recharge my turbo every lap but on Veteran I found myself trying to save turbo boost so I only pit at the end of lap 1 and blast past the AI when they pit at the start of lap 3
that review was spot on, this is a fantastic little racer, highly recommended
that was intense! won my first championship on Veteran, didn't win all 3 races but a second place in the final race was enough. the AI didn't pit at the start of the final lap so my usual strategy didn't work
woo! stepped up to Expert mode, the races are 5 laps now, so multiple pitstops sometimes, and tyre-wear becomes a thing if you only pit once or go off the track a lot. still loving this game
won the first two championships on Expert and unlocked all the cars now 😎
one thing I really like about this game, is that even though it's an arcade racer there doesn't seem to be any rubber banding shenanigans from the AI, if you are good you can absolutely spank the AI and they don't suddenly catch you up on the last lap
I won one race on Expert by over 10 seconds
