God save the Mullvad ads. This one got banned too, by The City of London.

@mullvadnet Not being ready to dox us (your users) at a moments notice probably isn't the sort of message they want polluting British telly.

(Our government wants that for the sake of children, obviously. Definitely not selling it to various marketing firms and Palantir.)

@mullvadnet they _really_ don’t want people to see that ad, which is excellent, also I am proud to be a customer.

@mullvadnet

If I didn't already have a VPN (or two) I would subscribe on principal

@mrose @mullvadnet This ad drama in the UK did help nudge me to finally subscribe and start using Mullvad VPN. I'm very happy to support them, as it's becoming more and more important to do so.

@mullvadnet Nevermind the bollocks, here's Mullvad VPN!

Who's the Syd Vicious on your crew? 🤘

@mullvadnet Claiming to be 'banned' and 'censored' when a private company has decided not to carry material that seems to have been created specifically to ensure that would happen - straight out of the far right populist playbook.

Would've hoped an organisation like Mullvad would have been better than that, but hey ho.

@RolloTreadway @mullvadnet Though Clearcast is formally is a private company, they do preapproval according to BCAP rules, which is a UK regulatory body. Even if they would only enforce ”industry rules”, that would make them a cartel.

And TfL is a government body.

@RolloTreadway @mullvadnet
BBC? Private company?
@Orca @RolloTreadway @mullvadnet The BBC isn’t involved in this in any way. They do not carry advertising, on account of their public status.
@f4rr3r @RolloTreadway @mullvadnet iirc I saw mullvad claiming their ads were pulled from BBC 🤔
Well maybe they misrepresented what actually happened.
@mullvadnet The thoughpolice is only trying to protect the proles from crimethought, how doubleplusgood of them!

@mullvadnet

Drop pamphlets from the sky over crowds.
