Meanwhile, still no update on my CERCLA whistleblower retaliation case that was filed almost five years ago; and originally stalled by Walsh's administration following his tenure as Boston Mayor where at least three of his aids were charged with criminal racketeering arising out of their work for Walsh.

@ashleygjovik Corruption in Boston politics is not a bug, it's a feature (for those in positions of power, anyway).

@flargh I had no idea until I found myself knee deep in it. It's wild how entrenched it is & its not really talked about outside the "hub of the universe."

In case you missed my update on my Boston adventures: https://www.ashleygjovik.com/blog/i-filed-a-cercla-petition-to-put-the-south-bay-boston-ma-on-the-national-priorities-list

I Filed a CERCLA Petition to Put the South Bay (Boston, MA) on the National Priorities List

A CERCLA Petition and Clean Water Act Citizen Suit Notice regarding the South Bay, Fort Point Channel, Roxbury Creek, and Dorchester Brook in Boston, Massachusetts.

@ashleygjovik I'm a Boston kid, so I grew up with tales of James Michael Curley.

@flargh Looks like he was in charge during the time of a bunch of the crap I complained about and I deeply appreciate the fact he was apparently incarcerated while he was actively Mayor. That sounds exactly right.
@ashleygjovik Ah, BMC, which is one of the commonwealth's major Medicaid service providers. #romneycare #masshealth 😒
@flargh Yes and is also still Boston City Hospital. Boston still owns the infrastructure and environmental obligations, and BCH staff, labs, partnerships, etc. were all just transferred to the new name. Also still built on a cesspool and has Roxbury Canal right on its backdoor. But did change its name and delete all references to the Canal, and recently renamed it to "Bass River," so everything is fine and great.
