Noise level has been consistently bad for a few months, it's going to affect my summer radio activity. There's no escape from QRM, it only rises.

I was taught that man-made noise / electrical noise was QRN but interference from other radio stations was QRM

Is that not current usage?
Am I out of date?

Back in coughcoughcough I was taught QRN was from "N"atural sources like lightning and QRM was from "M"an-made sources like radio stations, home electronics and appliances, cars, etc.

This is exactly how I keep them straight as well. N for natural, M for man-made.
