Chris Ahchay@JohannaMakesGames Ico is the only game that I can think of that did this properly, and even then there were a lot of frustrating bits
@ahchay I just remembered that I actually worked on an action rpg in the past that had an escort mission. We pimped the guy we escorted so much that he was pretty good at fighting for himself and we basically only had to look out for ourselves.
