Those in the #colorblind and #accessbility spaces, what colors do you use instead of red, yellow, green?

I’m doing some work in the #cybersecurity and programming space and realized red, yellow, green doesn’t work well for color coding things like severity. A brief search shows signal lights try to use shape rather than different colors. Certain systems support Unicode symbols like info, warning, and stop, but not all so I feel a colorblind standardized color code fall back would be useful

@sylvie for me being #colorblind good contrast is more important than the actual colour. Shape would also be a great help.

@sylvie a friend and former peer is a color blind network engineer and without hesitation calls out the crappy and completely useless dashboards most vendors demo. And I also built dashboards for his team. His preference was obvious shapes or the word (first letter if tight on space) itself: C H M L I

Most vendors never did improve their dashboards. So thanks for doing that!
