I’m firmly against including anything other than meat (or meat substitute) and mashed potatoes in a cottage pie. (and onion, but that’s different.)

@benjamineskola Ok, that's interesting. To me by default cottage pie has carrots and peas, along with onion, garlic and mince, in the filling. Other veg is dependent on opinion. I quite like broccoli in it, but in this case the children were against it.
