aw, crap! I forgot to replace my CR2025 batteries with CR2026s.

Is anything bad going to happen?

@mwl you should be good for now, but I heard there’s important timing re: the CR2038s

@ckure

In that case, you just fall back to using CR1970 batteries…

@mwl

@mwl
<looks at the world>
<looks at the CR1620s>

... well FUCK.

@mwl Replace them with 2032 and you will have peace for a few years. YMMV ;)
@mwl i think your alternator is a goner...

@mwl Yes. Very yes.

But not because of the batteries.

@mwl @catsalad
I'm still writing CR2025 on my checks.
@mwl I'm stuck with never ending CR2020
@mwl you may be charged with battery
@mwl You do understand that CR2026 are simply 0,1 mm thicker than CR2025s, do you? 🤣
@fubaroque @mwl
Your MOMMA is 0,1mm thicker.

@mwl Check that 1/10th of a millimeters with a steel caliper and something bad will definitely happen...

(Disclaimer, where needed: this is a joke, DO NOT do that, since the battery could overheat and explode)

@mwl If you hold out a bit, 2032s are plentiful and easy to find.
@mwl nah it's just a best-by date ;)
@mwl oh thanks! It's you we should blame for the world ending then.
@mwl Well the plot won't thicken
@mwl if you use lipo cells they have this feature where they automatically get thicker over time
@mwl no worries. Just don't ever switch to CR2038s.
@mwl they're going to explode in a ball of purple flames out of which the lord of darkness will emerge to invite you for coffee
@mwl you'll lose cell service
@mwl Have you noticed how thin these batteries were in 2016? Not everything is getting smaller.
