Last night I went down some rabbit hole that started with the zero dimensionality of an electron and wave functions, through what makes up protons and neutrons, quark gluon plasma, the Higgs field, neutron stars, and black holes, to higher spacial dimensions, curved space, dark matter and energy, branes, and bulks, and finally decided I need to stop else I won't get to sleep when it led me to string theory.
