#honkers ; does anybody know what happened to Ted?

Also does anybody have an up-to-date clone of honk? it appears the version i'm running is newer than the version i have the source for and the wayback machine doesn't have consistent snapshots of the source :<

@nilix I believe mine has one or two changesets that Ted's doesn't but minor bug fixes.

I don't know what happened to Ted. I hope he's OK. I just sent him an email, let's see if it even gets delivered.

@petersanchez @nilix hope all OK too. Side note I have been meaning to bring upstream changes to my instance but not got around to it. I believe everything I have done locally (apart from renames) have been merged elsewhere so at this point it’s just the theme
@ols @nilix Yea. Most of my original changes from years ago were merged into Ted's upstream so my copy should be pretty in sync with the most recent pushes from Ted (at least before his server went down)
@petersanchez so... all those go deps that are on Ted's mercurial server... any mirrors?
@ols @nilix I don't have any for things like webs, etc. Maybe we can create some from the go cache files. Or move to something like snac, which I've been thinking about as well. Just such a PITA
@petersanchez @nilix if you are able to just put the contents of $GOPATH/pkg/mod/humungus.tedunangst.com/r/ somewhere, then that should allow folks to build your latest copy of code at least? Maybe
@ols @petersanchez i was able to use some public goproxies to pull them, and i will be mirroring them soonish
@nilix @petersanchez I’ve just started replacing it with local hacks in honk
@petersanchez @nilix I've got this working somewhat at https://yeet-dev.ols.wtf, and now I know exactly why Ted was so angry about activitypub
@ols @petersanchez yeah i can do that without too much ceremony ;>

@ols @nilix This is what I've got:

$ ls $GOPATH/pkg/mod/humungus.tedunangst.com/r/ [email protected]/ [email protected]/ [email protected]/ [email protected]/ [email protected]/ [email protected]/ [email protected]/ [email protected]/ [email protected]/

Let me know if you want me to tar these up and put them somewhere. If I'm slow to respond here just shoot me an email ([email protected]) and I'll see that much sooner.

@nilix I asked on the unofficial openbsd libera chat. Crickets. 🤔
