Rash update. After 2 days of application, rash is almost completely healed. This shit works!!!

@DoomsdaysCW Well, now I’m curious. Where do you get your seaweed? (I’m worried you’re going to tell me the ocean.)
@ClimateJenny I do harvest very small amounts of bladderwrack that lands on the beach. I don't touch any that's living in the water. I also purchase Dulse commercially to mix with it.
@DoomsdaysCW Oh well. It’s almost spring.
@ClimateJenny Yup. And I have a beach excursion planned for next weekend. Not taking any chances. I'm sure you heard about what is happening in Wellington. Coastal York county has had similar issues, unfortunately.🤮
@ClimateJenny I also harvest it in late winter, before there's any chance of sewage leakage from spring rains (and yeah, that's a problem here in Maine).
@ClimateJenny And even then, I rinse and boil what I find.
@DoomsdaysCW I don’t know if you heard, but there was a massive sewage leak upstream on the Potomac, so nobody should be harvesting anything there. We do have a few struggling aquatic grasses, but I don’t know the species and it’s only occasionally that some washes up onto the shore.
@ClimateJenny We have plenty of bladderwrack here in Maine. And like I mentioned, I try and do honorable harvest. Small amounts that wash onshore.
@ClimateJenny And in that case, I would definitely purchase commercial seaweed that's been tested. Maine Seaweed Dulse is a good substitute, harvested sustainably, dedicated areas, etc.
@DoomsdaysCW I’ll look for that! My skin has had a very hard winter.
@ClimateJenny From what I researched, all seaweed has similar mineral content. Bladderwrack probably is superior because of its sliminess (viscosity).
