I am attending the #aidays at @UniKoeln, which brings together researchers, academic professionals and students from across the campus. It’s a great experience, offering many different perspectives. I learned about (interdisciplinary) #collaboration as #debugging in Nora Probst’s talk.

This is also a very interesting lens in context of our poster on the role of the #transdisciplinary #integrator in #translational #medicine created with Ekaterina Kutafina and Oya Beyan.

It's great to be back in the physics department where I spent so many years.
Translational medicine is an example of a transdisciplinary field of research. Not only are we dealing with the complexity of academic interdisciplinarity, we are also going beyond academic boundaries. We argue that professional integrative experts are needed and that a strategic approach to project planning and skills training is necessary.
