πŸ”–Topic

Software development is disrupted every few months. In this new #AI- and #quantum-driven world, we must constantly rethink what types of software systems need to be developed, who will be in charge of developing them (humans, machines, or both) and how they can be built given their ever growing complexity. To address this challenge, we propose the adoption of #lowcode and #nocode approaches. By focusing on high-level models rather than direct programming, systems can be verified, validated and tested earlier, reducing the risk of building the wrong software. We will illustrate this approach with BESSER, our own open-source low-code platform for creating all types of hybrid systems. BESSER also embraces #vibemodeling, where AI is used to partially generate and refine specifications from natural-language descriptions, further #democratizing software development.
