DasI guess I'm getting old...
Done with my grant this late morning and afternoon, sent final form off to collaborator/co-PI - with everything formatted (had sent him all text + fig version, just citations not put in Friday morning while I did final edits and checks and citations). Only due Monday - or maybe Tuesday if Monday is federal holiday. Feels weird and empty now - Wed after morning class/teaching till this morning was intense.
Got the idea maybe 2 weeks ago - (because i had pieces in my head for a while - maybe 6 months, and a manuscript near submission) - and this is a totally new possibility - will be terrific if we can do it (a new direction and no prelim data - but that's what the grant (ostensibly at least) supports. Anyways won't be bummed if it tanks but I did enjoy the mental burst and intensity of thinking and writing it up.
