This article claims the Darlington refurbishment project, often praised as an example of Ontario nuclear projects being on time and on budget, is actually behind and over budget (by about $3.3B).
When I checked the sources of this org's published fact sheet (https://euzvzapheqq.exactdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Darlington-Refurbishment-Report.pdf) though, which they're basing these claims on, it only lists one third party source other than Global News and the Ontario government: "Ontario Energy Board Docket No. EB-2025-0297".
I understand that the Ontario Energy Board can be considered an authoritative source, but it's odd that no other potential sources, like news orgs, have spoken out about the alleged delays and cost overruns.
Can anyone with nuclear energy expertise weigh in on this? Are these claims legit?
