Cops in Sydney assaulted people protesting against a state visit by Israeli President Isaac Herzog. They broke a 69-year-old woman’s back in four places. They accused the protesters of violence because the protesters marched *in the direction of police*.
I think it was just last month that some Australian lib was telling me that police are only bad in the US but fine everywhere else.

For people engaged in the exercise of authoritarianism, such as any cop, criticism, disagreement, and disobedience all constitute *violence* that justifies violent self-defense.
When your person and identity are “authority,” independence is an explicit threat.

What the fucking fuck? Requiring people to get a permit to protest is bad enough, but what bullshit legislation is this? It's never fucking good when a government decides that people have no right to protest.
